Taking cues from Germination, No. 1 and Germination, No. 2, I wanted to create another piece that was again subdued in tone and feeling. A wash of melancholy that sweeps across the canvas in a movement that cascades from the upper left to the lower right. The colours are muted and dull, yet full of energy on a closer level, as if a cloud cover gently passed over a field of flowers.
