The 6th painting in the Arcadia series takes its cues once again from the occurrence of the Blood Moon, which took place recently on June 10th, shortly after I completed the painting. Similar to Arcadia, No. 4, the Blood Moon augers a period of transformation spiritually on a deeper level than most. The moon’s illumination is from the shadow of Earth, so one still should proceed with caution. In the background is Arcadia, the mythical land of pastoral and sublime beauty set above the horizon of the brown-Earth landscape.
