With Petals from the Anointed, I decided to use a colour palette of purples, voilets, blues and reds to create a soft luscious feeling of royalty and luxury. Regal and floral in appearance, this painting from the series utilizing the same technique of sweeping vertical striations revealed a beautiful cornucopia of color contrasts that is stunningly evocative.
