As the previous paintings in the ‘Le tourbillon de la vie’ paintings began to settle into my mind, I began to pull back and tighten the composition into a more traditional landscape of cloud formations, and introduce a compressing of foreground and background. Yet I still wanted to retain the intensity and vigour of brushstroke and energy that was explored in my previous work. This new painting which I call ‘Visitation’ was what surfaced.
