After completing Rapture, No. 3, I was immediately compelled to do another one very similar to it so that it could be seen as a diptych. Accordingly, I tried to remember how I layered and applied the brushstrokes, as well as which brushes I used in the process. I wanted the energy and movement to be the same, if I could do so. I wasn’t concerned of the ‘waves’ or curves matched when the two canvases were shown to each other side by side, but that they looked like a pair.
