I know you; you know me, No. 1, 2015
Acetate and tone on wood
44 x 30 cm
The model is a friend of mine, who I kindly asked to pose for a series of image transfers which I now call the Persona series, but ended up keeping the actual transfer collage as the final piece. This is one of the most interesting, namely because of the gaze of the model’s eyes. They are distant and inviting, yet ominous at the same time. “I know you; you know me” is about the idea of know who we are and perhaps the questioning of our identity within the space and environment that we occupy.
